Coffee Cures

Ah, the restorative properties of coffee. The throat spray and lozenges were efficacious. The acetaminophen and fluids and hours of rest less so. My headache persisted. It persisted until I had some coffee. It makes me wonder how much of my headache was related to caffeine. Hmmm....

Joe Louis Sauna

We were in Detroit last night. Wings beat the Ducks 7-4. It was hot in the arena. Unbelievably hot. Possibly the hottest arena ever. Good game though.

We took the Tunnel Bus home. As we had left while there were still 2 min left to play we were able to board the first Tunnel Bus. Yay! No tunnel traffic, back across the border in no time!

Hoarding

We aren't hoarders per se. Not like on that A&E show. Packrats maybe. We're messy too. It's not that we don't understand cleaning, purging and organising. We'd just rather sit on the couch and watch tv after a long day. Who wouldn't? Anyway, we had some assistance tonight. It's much easier when someone is directing the clean-up/purge. It really doesn't take that much time, or at least it doesn't need to. One room at a time. We started with the spare bedroom. It has really been used more as a storage room. This is the beginning of the change. What was the cost, really? We saw two fewer Friends reruns? Probably. I'm tired now though....

Good thing it's garbage night, the stuff we're throwing out is already at the curb. The things we're giving away are already in the back of the car. Ahh... There is a floor in there!

Hallowe'en. It was Hallowe'en?

Last night we had no trick-or-treaters. Mind you we had no jack-o-lantern and our porch light was off but y'know...

There may have been more activity around the corner, on the side streets. On our street it was pretty quiet. I looked out a few times. I only once saw people in costume. A witch pushing a stroller following behind a warlock(?) on a scooter. How 'bout that.

Today I mowed the lawn for the first time in over a month. I also cleaned the eaves troughs. Tomorrow is yard waste pickup. I wanted to be ready for it. I'm hoping the time change leads to more awakness in the morning, we'll see.
